Michael S. Abraham, CEO, President of Acquisitions

Michael Abraham is a seasoned real estate executive with experience in virtually every facet of the industry.  He currently oversees development and construction operations, acquisitions, brokerage sales, financing, property management and leasing.  Before entering the real estate field, Michael honed and utilized his business technique in the intense corporate environment of television advertising; collaborating on multi-million dollar projects for such clients as Leo Burnett and Draftfcb.

In 2006, Michael co-founded a Chicago based real estate investment company called Paper Street Group. To date, Mr. Abraham had led the acquisition of over 300 apartment units, secured debt financing on numerous residential and commercial properties, structured complex joint venture and equity partnerships, raised private equity for multiple acquisitions, and facilitated the sales transactions of countless properties. He is actively evaluating, negotiating and financing the acquisition of multifamily properties around the country. He participates in the due diligence and development of value-creation strategies, and then leads their implementation. He is responsible for assembling and overseeing the team assigned to execute the strategic plan for each asset.

Michael launched Paper Street Realty, LLC in 2010 as a full-service real estate brokerage & property management company.  Professionally licensed since 2006 and acting as the firm's Managing Broker, Michael has quickly grown his latest venture into a premier boutique real estate brokerage in Chicago.  His extensive, first-hand experience in property management, residential leasing, multi-family brokerage, receivership, REO management, development and construction has enabled him to serve his clients at the highest level.


Bruce J. Spagnola, Jr., CFO, President of Sales

Bruce J. Spagnola joined Paper Street with more than 10 years experience in financial services and retail sales. He received a bachelor’s degree in business management and has a managerial background with some of the nation’s largest companies, including JP Morgan Chase and Best Buy.  His diverse experience includes retail sales, management, private banking, and assisting high net worth individuals in the accumulation, preservation and transfer of their wealth. 

Bruce began his real estate career analyzing and re-developing commercial & residential real estate on behalf of Paper Street Group. Now serving as President of Paper Street Companies, Mr. Spagnola assesses the potential performance of pending acquisition opportunities, prepares financial models and valuations, manages due diligence activities and helps structure potential investments and financings. By the 2nd Quarter of 2013, Mr. Spagnola had overseen more than $7M in property acquisitions. His key roles include operations management, internal and external financial reporting, tax compliance, and the management of financial audit statements and budgets.  Bruce oversees all aspects of financial forecasting and investor relations.
